Only 136 Edward VII awards were made to New Zealand volunteer and territorial units between May 1910 and October 1917
one tiny hairline crack to white enamels otherwise in nearly extremely fine condition
voluntary enlistment was unregulated and skilled men were joining up and leaving companies with a shortage of skilled labour essential to maintaining the country’s war capability
plus straps sewn on either side at the rear with snap closures for the feeding through of the goggles strap
