An Embroidered Iron Cross, I Class Auction and forfeited three days' payOf very fine quality with black cotton arms, the outer edges trimmed in white cotton cord, magnetic silvered and blackened iron insignia incorporating the crown, the "W" (Wilhelm) cypher and the date "1914" independently attached via black threading, white cotton backer with a maker's mark stamped in blue ink in the centre, measuring 38 mm x 38. 3 mm, scattered wear patches in black cotton on the arms, near extremely fine. Scarce.
